Sen. L’Italien officially launched her re-election campaign June 8 at The Chateau restaurant in Andover. The turnout was overwhelming and incredibly appreciated — nearly 200 people including dozens of supporters from each of her communities – Lawrence, Andover, Tewksbury and Dracut. There was also a great turnout from the senator’s friends in North Andover, Methuen and many other communities.
There were too many friends and supporters to mention everyone by name, but the senator expressed her heartfelt thanks for everyone who attended as well as her friends who were unable to make it but whose support she is counting on.
Just a few of the people who took the microphone to support Sen. L’Italien’s re-election included Senate President Stan Rosenberg, state Rep. Colleen Garry of Dracut, former state Rep. and Senator Barry Finegold of Andover, former state Rep. David Torrisi of Lawrence, Dracut Selectman Tony Archinski and Andover Selectman Paul Salafia. Other State House colleagues and local elected officials who came to support Sen. L’Italien included state Reps. Marcos Devers and Frank Moran of Lawrence and Diana DiZoglio and Linda Dean Campbell of Methuen, Senator Jason Lewis, Dracut Selectman Tami M. Dristiliaris and North Andover Selectman Phil DeCologero. Sen. L’Italien’s family including husband Kevin, sons Rudy and Andrew, and daughter Samantha also joined her. It was an incredibly successful event and a great start to the campaign!
